Two courses, two different bars. Both online and self-paced, both ending in an assessment, and both renewed annually — because a credential nobody re-checks is not worth holding.
Two separate courses, not two levels of one. They train two different jobs that must never be done by the same person on the same property — so you choose by the role you want, not by how experienced you are.
These are not beginner and advanced versions of the same thing. They train two different jobs that must never be done by the same person on the same property.
For property practitioners and experienced trades.
Entry bar: smartphone, own transport, clear record and verified identity. A PPRA Fidelity Fund Certificate or trade qualification shortens the process but is not required.
Check eligibilityFor registered professionals with sign-off authority.
Entry bar: relevant professional qualification, current registration with your body, professional indemnity cover, and demonstrable independence from advisory work in the same area.
Register interestOnline and self-paced on our learning platform. Work through it around your existing job — most people complete it over a few evenings rather than in one sitting. Assessment at the end, and you may re-sit.
A one-off course fee, payable once your verification has cleared. Separate from the verification fee and from the monthly software licence — and the licence does not begin until your first job is allocated.
A shorter refresh each year covering framework changes and any standard updates. It is also where sustained rating problems are addressed. Everyone renews, regardless of standing.
Why there is no entrance exam. The course exists to take someone from capable to accredited. Testing people before they have been taught filters out exactly the experienced trades and agents who make the best assessors. The filter is verification of your record — not a quiz.
Field work paid per assessment, or independent sign-off appointed by councils. Start with whichever fits what you already hold.
